Boulaincourt
Boulaincourt is a commune in the Vosges department of the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Neufchâteau, the Canton of Mirecourt and was founded in 1998 Kommunalverband Xaintois.
Geography
The 74 inhabitants (1 January 2011 ) scoring Boulaincourt municipality is located in Xaintois, 42 kilometers north- west of Epinal and 40 kilometers south of Nancy. The municipal area extends as a spur into the north in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle.
In Boulaincourt the Ruisseau de la Grosse Fontaine, which drains south to Mosel Creek Madon springs. Apart from the settlement area and small, spanning 15 hectares of forest land in the north is the municipality of arable and grassland. Just north of Boulaincourt the striking Colline de Sion rises with the tower signal de Vaudémont to 541 meters above the sea.
Neighboring communities of Boulaincourt are Forcelles -sous- Gugney in the north, Bouzanville in the east, Frenelle -la -Grande in the south and Fraisnes -en- Saintois in the West.
History
In the year 877, a place called Bodelincurte is mentioned for the area. Whether it is Boulaincourt, is very uncertain.
The choir of the former church was probably built in the 14th century, the mayor and school building dates from 1867.

From the Assumption Church ( Église de l' Assomption de Notre -Dame), which was demolished because of the danger of collapse, remained only get two walls. In the window wall, the church bells were admitted. Is crowned this monument from the weathercock of the former church.
Economy and infrastructure
Agriculture continues to play an important role in Boulaincourt and environment. The village is off the national traffic flows. Nine kilometers south of the village held partially two-lane D 166, which runs from Epinal Mirecourt after about Neufchâteau. Through the village the railway line from Nancy via Mirecourt and Vittel to Merrey, which is operated by the TER Lorraine; the next breakpoint is located in the four kilometers away Diarville.
