Compound Document Format

Compound Document Format ( CDF) was a group of aspiring W3C standards and a working group of the same. The development was set on August 19, 2010.

Compound document or Compound Document designates a composite of several objects document. The working group should work out the combination and integration of W3C standards with each other. Having looked at the standards XHTML, XML Events, CSS, SVG, SMIL and XForms. The standards should be shared either via a reference or inclusion.

Core CDF standards are the standard for Web Integration Compound Document ( WICD ) and the Compound Document by Reference Framework ( CDR).
