Eguisheim

Eguisheim ( German Eguisheim, Alsatian Egsa ) is a commune with 1752 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district of Colmar and the Canton Wintzenheim. Eguisheim as one of the plus beaux villages de France ( most beautiful villages in France ) is classified.

Geography

The community Eguisheim is located on the Alsace Wine Route (Route des Vins ), a few kilometers south-west of Colmar. History

Counts of Eguisheim
