Eugene D. O'Sullivan

Eugene Daniel O'Sullivan ( * May 31, 1883 in Kent, Reno County, Kansas, † February 7, 1968 in Omaha, Nebraska ) was an American politician.

O'Sullivan was born in 1883 on a cattle farm in Kansas. He attended the Christian Brothers College in St. Joseph, Missouri. After 1903, he graduated there, he visited then from 1904 to 1905, the St. Benedict 's College in Atchison, Kansas. After O'Sullivan graduated from the Law School Creighton University in Omaha Jura. In 1910 he completed his studies, was recorded later that year in the legal profession and practiced as a lawyer in Omaha.

O'Sullivan, who belonged to the Democrats, in the years 1924, 1928, 1932, 1940 and 1944 was a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions of his party. In 1934, he tried unsuccessfully to be set up as a Democratic candidate for the gubernatorial elections in Nebraska. In the congressional elections in 1948 O'Sullivan was chosen for his party in the 81st Congress, and represented there from 3 January 1949 to 3 January 1951, the state of Nebraska in the House of Representatives of the United States. In the next congressional elections in 1950, he could not defend his seat and was defeated by Republican Howard Buffett. This had previously lost his seat at O'Sullivan 1948.

O'Sullivan now began to practice law. He died in 1968 in Omaha, and was buried at Calvary Cemetery.
