Florian Rousseau

Florian Georges Philippe Rousseau ( born February 3, 1974 in Joinville- le -Pont ) is a French cycling coach and former track cyclist and Olympic champion.

Olympics

At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta Florian Rousseau won on the track in the 1000 -meter time trial gold medal in a time of 1:02,712 minutes before the Americans Erin Hartwell. Four years later, at the Games in Sydney, he won two gold medals in the Keirin and the team sprint, with Laurent Gané and Arnaud Tournant, he also won another silver medial in the sprint.

World Championships

Florian Rousseau won in Manchester in 1996, Perth in 1997 and 1998 Bordeaux in each case the gold medal in the sprint at UCI Track World Championships. In the years 1997 to 2001, Rousseau was also with the French team in a different occupation world champion in the team sprint.

After the end of his active career until 2013 was Rousseau coach of the French railway Sprint Team.
