History
The village was first mentioned in the year 1000.
Incorporations
On 1 January 1974 the then independent municipality Steinach was incorporated at the Ens. Mörlbach joined them on 1 January 1978.

The coat of arms description reads: Split by a toppled been swept red top, in two facing away from each silver battle-axes; front in silver a golden reinforced red eagle head, back in gold on the left inverted red reinforced black eagle head.
