Geography
Herschweiler- Pettersheim is in the upper Ohmbachtal in the Western Palatinate. The municipality also includes the south -lying residential space Bockhof.
History
The first mention of Pettersheim took place in 1387 under the name " Pederßheim ". Herschweiler comes first before 1446 with the name " Hirßwylre ".
