Oberweiler-Tiefenbach
Oberweiler -Tiefenbach is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Wolfenstein.
Geography
The municipality is situated on the northeast of the Lauter King Mountain in North Palatine Uplands. To the south, Wolfenstein, in the north of belonging to Wolfenstein Reckweilerhof and east is Einöllen.
History
Upper Hamlet was first documented in 1290. To distinguish the nearby Upper hamlet in the valley it was temporarily known as Unterweiler. 1316 Tiefenbach was first mentioned. 1387 were the places to the county Veldenz. From 1694 it belonged to Palatinate -Zweibrücken. As part of an exchange area they came in 1768 to Electoral Palatinate. 1824 were merged upper hamlets and Tiefenbach.

The local council in Upper Weiler- Tiefenbach is composed of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Economy and infrastructure
West of the city runs the federal highway 270 over. In Wolfenstein and Reckweilerhof are stations of the Lauter Valley Railway.
