Dennweiler-Frohnbach

Dennweiler - Frohnbach is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kusel.

Geography

Dennweiler - Frohnbach located in the Saar -Nahe - Bergland. The municipality also includes the living space Frohnbacherhof. Dennweiler - Frohnbach bordered to the east by Oberalben, to the south and west by Körborn and in the north to the city of Baumholder and the military training area.

History

Dennweiler was first mentioned in 1270 as " Dennewilre " in a charter of Henry of Veldenz and Geroldseck. Frohnbach followed in 1302 as " Vronebach " in a document of the knight Bertram of Wadenau.

The creek Kaueralb ( Kuralb, web stream ) separated the two places originally in various spheres of domination. Dennweiler (left or north of the creek ) belonged to Remigius country Frohnbach to the diocese of Verdun. In the 12th century both areas were taken over by the Counts of Veldenz as bailiwick. Dennweiler was under the Veldenzer Office Lichtenberg, Frohnbach the Office Baumholder. 1444 was the county Veldenz, therefore the two villages, to the Duchy of Pfalz- Zweibrücken. After a description of the judicial district of Zweibrücken Baumholder of 1570/71 Dennweiler is described as a fief of the lords of Lichtenberg, Frohnbach (outside of the judicial district ) directly to the Duke Johann I was under. Dennweiler consisted of eight, Frohnbach only three houses. During the Thirty Years' War, both villages were deserted.

At the end of the 18th century both villages the Schultheißerei Konken in Zweibrücken Oberamt Lichtenberg were assumed.

After 1792 French revolutionary troops occupied the region and annexed after the peace of Campo Formio (1797 ). From 1798 to 1814, the two villages belonged to the French Saar Department and the Canton Kusel were assigned. 1802 had both villages together 192 inhabitants. Taken in response to the Congress of Vienna (1815 ) Agreements and a barter agreement with Austria the region came in 1816 with the Kingdom of Bavaria. From 1818 onwards Dennweiler and Frohnbach were later assigned to the country 's Commissariat Kusel in the Bavarian Rhine Kreis, the district office Kusel, from 1938, the district emerged Kaiserslautern. In the adopted King of Bavaria, cantonal division of the Rhine circle of November 17, 1817 Dennweiler and Frohnbach were listed as communities individually, in a description of the Rhine County from 1837 both villages were called " forming a community".

Coat of arms

The blazon of the arms is: " Argent, two green bars, topped with five silver balls 3:2, a rooted, green fir ".

The bars with the balls to go back on a Seal of the Knights of Wadenau whose castle stood at Frohnbach. The pine symbolizes the forest wealth.

The Coat of Arms was established in 1983 approved by the district government of Rheinhessen-Pfalz.

Dennweiler - Frohnbach has a kindergarten and a village community and cultural center.

In the south of the A 62 runs in Kusel is a station on the railway line Landstuhl - Kusel.
