Jack Keane

John M. "Jack" Keane ( born February 1, 1943 in New York City ) is a retired general of the United States Army.

Biography

After schooling, he studied accounting at Fordham University and graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science (BS Accounting ) from. He then completed a post-graduate studies in philosophy at Western Kentucky University, which he finished with a Master of Arts (MA Philosophy ). He then joined the United States Army and was later a graduate of the United States Army War College and the Command and General Staff College. Between 1998 and 1999 he was Deputy Commander of United States Atlantic Command. Subsequently, he was promoted to General and was as such until 2003 Vice Chief of Staff of the Army. In 2003 he retired.

After retiring from military service, he went into the private sector and belongs since 2003 to the Supervisory Board of Metropolitan Life, and since 2004 by General Dynamics. In addition, he was between 2004 and 2005 President of GSI Consultin, LLC. In 2005 he was co-founder of Keane Advisors, LLC, its Chief Operating Officer, he has since. He is also a board member of the George C. Marshall Foundation.
