Kombo Central
Kombo Central is one of 35 districts - the second highest level of administrative divisions - the West African nation of Gambia. It is one of nine districts in the West Coast region.
According to a calculation by 2013 there live about 113 122 inhabitants, the result of the last published census of 2003 was 84 315.
The name is derived from Kombo, a former small kingdom.

Population
According to a survey of 1993 ( former census ), the largest population group, the Mandinka with a share of around five tenths, followed by the Jola and Fula the. The distribution in detail: Mandinka 49.2%, 12.8%, Fula, Wolof 5%, 21.8%, Jola 1.7% Serahule, 1.9% Serer, Aku 0.3 %, 4.9% Manjago, 0.4% Bambara and 2% other ethnicities.
