Kombo East
Kombo East is one of 35 districts - the second highest level of administrative divisions - the West African nation of Gambia. It is one of nine districts in the West Coast region.
According to a calculation by 2013 there live about 33,849 inhabitants, the result of the last published census of 2003 was 28 146.
The name is derived from Kombo, a former small kingdom.

According to a survey of 1993 ( former census ), the largest population group, the Mandinka with a share of around five tenths, followed by the Jola and Fula the. The distribution in detail: 50.2 % Mandinka, Fula 10.7%, 0.6%, Wolof, Jola 28.8 %, 0.4% Serahule, 2% Serer, Aku 0%, 4.4% Manjago, 0, 1% Bambara and 2.7% other ethnicities.
