Leshukonskoye
Leschukonskoje (Russian Лешуконское ) is a village ( selo ) in Northwest Russia. It is part of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and has 4406 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ). It is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.
Geography
Leschukonskoje is located about 250 km east of Oblasthauptstadt Arkhangelsk. It is located on the left side of the river Waschka, about two kilometers from its mouth into the river the mesas. The nearest city is, about 125 kilometers north of Leschukonskoje, located at the mouth of the river of the same place mesas.
History
In 1641 the village was first mentioned as a center of the district of Ust- Waschka ( Усть - Вашка ). With the establishment of Rajon Leschukonskoje in 1929 Leschukonskoje became its center.

Economy and infrastructure
As in all parts of Rajon, the main industry is also in Leschukonskoje the forest industry and wood processing companies. At the western edge of the village of Leschukonskoje airport is ( Аэропорт Лешуконское ). Since 1984 located in Leschukonskoje a local museum. Furthermore, the place including in possession of a music school and a library.
