List of cities, towns and villages in Vojvodina
Vojvodina, the northern province of Serbia is divided into seven administrative districts. Three of these districts belong to the historic landscape Backa, Banat and three to one to Srem.
The second administrative division level, the municipalities ( Opština, plural opstine ). However, these communities are so large that they partially rather correspond to the German districts / counties and Austrian and Swiss districts. In some counties, there are therefore only three or four such large communities.
The following is a list of all (large) municipalities of Vojvodina and places contained in them. Although the province is now predominantly inhabited by Serbs, bear all communities alongside their Serb also a Hungarian name, in some cases, also a German.

Backa
The Bačka (Serbian Bačka, Hungarian Bácska ) includes, in addition to parts of Hungary, the western part of Vojvodina. Three districts they carry on behalf of: Severna Bačka (North), Južna Bačka (South) and Zapadna Bačka (West).

Banat
The Banat (Hungarian Banat ) is a historical region which extends over parts of Vojvodina, Romania and Hungary. Within Vojvodina, Banat forms the eastern part of the country. Three districts bear it in the name: Severni Banat (Northern ) Srednji Banat (center) and South Banat ( south).
