Maier village is a municipality with 535 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Southeastern Styria in the south- east of Styria ( Austria ).

Geographical Location
Maier village is situated about 38 km south-east of Graz and about 8 km south of the district capital field creek in East Styrian Hill Country.

Coat of arms
The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 August 1991. Coat Description: green growing a silver goat with knocked-out tongue, a silver Hirserispe with the barrels holding.
