Geographical Location

Maier village is situated about 38 km south-east of Graz and about 8 km south of the district capital field creek in East Styrian Hill Country.

  • In the North: Gniebing - Weissbach and Mühldorf in field Bach
  • In the East: Bad DC Mountain and Trautmann village in Styria

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 August 1991. Coat Description: green growing a silver goat with knocked-out tongue, a silver Hirserispe with the barrels holding.

The train station in Maier village belongs to Landesbahn field Bach Bad DC Mountain, which is operated by the Styrian provincial railways.
