The Murcia- San Javier (Spanish Aeropuerto de Murcia- San Javier) is an international airport and a base Aérea de San Javier the Spanish Air Force in the Spanish province of Murcia in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula. The airport is located in the district of Santiago de la Ribera the town of San Javier directly on the Mar Menor lagoon of the Mediterranean Sea about 40 km southeast of Murcia.

Military use

As a military airfield is the place a school -based and home of Ala 79 ( span wings, a squadron ), with the Escuadróns 791 ( elementary education ), 793 (basic training ) and 794, the latter is better than Patrulla Águila known, the aerobatic team of the Spanish Air Force.

Civil use

A total of 10 airlines offer international flights from / to Murcia- San Javier. From the German-speaking countries currently flies no airline at the airport.
