Palù del Fersina

Palai in Fersental ( Mocheno: Palai / Palae s Bersntol, Italian: Palu del Fersina ) is a municipality ( comune ) with 174 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in Fersental, Province of Trento, Italy. The municipality is divided into two identical tracts of land, Auserpòch (outside of the stream ) and Inderpòch ( within the stream ). The parish seat is located in the district Auserpòch Lenzi at 1,360 m above sea level The first written records about the history of the village due to the time just before the year 1600, however, it is believed that the area was inhabited beginning of the 13th century. Special feature of the village is that it is one of the three communities of eastern Mocheni, where the majority of the population speaks heels German taler.

Palai borders the following municipalities: Bedollo Telve, Baselga di Pine, Telve di Sopra, Orsola Terme, Florutz ( Vlarötz, Fierozzo ) and Torcegno.
