Stavenice

Stavenice ( German Steinmetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers east of Mohelnice and belongs to Okres Šumperk.

Geography

Stavenice located in the Mohelnická Brázda ( Müglitzer furrow ) at the junction of Úsovská Highlands ( Ausseer hill country ) for Hanna. The village is located on the left side of March between the streams Lužní Potok, Rohelnice and Doubravka ( torrent ). West of Stavenice opens the Mírovka in the March. To the south extends the protected landscape PLA Litovelské Pomoravi with the nature reserve Moravičanské Lake. North-east rises the Uhliská (293 m), in the south of Bradlec ( 341 m) and Jelení vrch (345 m).

Neighboring towns are Trestina in the north, Police and Usov in the northeast, Hlivice in the east, in the southeast Králová, Moravičany in the south, Mohelnice in the southwest, and Podolíčko Křemačov in the west and Libivá and Haj in the northwest.

History

In the hills south of the village can be Slavic grave mounds from the Bronze Age and on the Hradisko at Moravičany prove a Slavic fortified settlement. The village Stavenice is also a Slavic foundation, its name derives from the personal name Staven. The first written mention of belonging to the Müglitzer goods of the diocese of Olomouc village took place in 1273rd From 1344 Stavenice was part of the rule Usov. In 1519 the hospital in Usov were left to the income from the village. The oldest town seal is from 1758. 1783 the village of Müglitz by Usov was umgepfarrt.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stavenice / Steinmetz made ​​from 1850 onwards, a municipality in the district chief city. In 1900, 285 people lived in the 42 houses of the village. 1911 took a one-class village school to teach. 1930, the place had 254 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement in 1938, Steinmetz added to the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district chief city. 1939 had 244 inhabitants of the village. On 8 May 1845, the Waffen- SS shot in five mason inhabitants of Lesche. 1961 Stavenice was assigned to the Okres Šumperk. Between 1976 and 1992 the village was incorporated by Usov.
