Libina

Libina ( German Liebau ) is a town in the Czech Republic. You more than twelve kilometers southeast of Šumperk and belongs to Okres Šumperk. The municipality was created in 1961 by merger of the municipalities Dolni Libina, Horni Libina and Obědné.

Geography

Libina extends over eight kilometers along the streams and creek Libinský Mladoňovský creek to Oskava of the Úsovská Highlands ( Ausseer hills ) to the Hornomoravský úval (Upper Moravian Valley ). History

  • Parish Church of St George ( Kostel sv.Jiří )

The church, dedicated to Saint George is a baroque building from the 18th century, the architecture of the Church of the Virgin of the Assumption ( Kostel Panny Marie narození ) in Nový Malín ( Frank city) recalls. The lovers Auer church was added to the list of cultural monuments in 1958. My Baroque appearance owes a radical extension reconstruction in 1721.   • The cemetery cross was donated on the occasion of the dedication of the new cemetery in 1836 by the merchant family of Josef Sawodny Liebesdorf.
