Stubben, Schleswig-Holstein

Stubben is a municipality in the district of Lauenburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

History

The first mention of stumps in 1408, as of Wedege G. and V. Zulen of the place to the Duke Erich sold the elderly. At that time the village " tho the stump " was still called.

The origin of the name Stubben is unknown. It is believed that the place was built on a cleared by fire forest floor on which the tree stumps ( = stumps ) stopped.

Economy and infrastructure

Stubben is a rural community with farms, craft shops, but also purely residential areas.

Since Stubben has no more about their own school and has no kindergarten in town, the children of kindergarten age are driven in preschool and primary school age after Mollhagen. All other schools are located in Bargteheide.

In Stubben there is no more and so the food purchases have to be made ​​outside of Stubben shops. The last grocery store closed in 1984.

Attractions
