Trans-Nzoia County

Trans - Nzoia County ( Trans - Nzoia District until 2010 ) is a county in the Kenyan Rift Valley Province. The capital of the county is Kitale. Only 4.6% of households are connected to the power supply. The main industry is agriculture, primarily grown tea and corn. The Trans - Nzoia County is part of the Diocese of Kitale of the Roman Catholic Church. The County is the Kenyan part of the Mount Elgon National Park.

Structure

The county is divided into councils and divisions. There are three constituencies: Cherangani, Kwanza and Saboti.
