History

Vlčkovce was first mentioned in writing in 1336 and was due to the " Bohemian street ", which crossed the river Dudváh here, so it was a catch and later tollbooth. The place belonged to the estate of Schintau, after 1817 of Lanschütz. In the 16th century Anabaptists came in Farkaschin. In 1828 the town had 552 inhabitants. 1925-1971 there was a sugar factory in the town. In 1948, the town name was derived from national political reasons in the slawisierte form ( vlk ( Slovak) = farkas ( Hungarian) = " Wolf" ) changed.

1975-1990 Vlčkovce was with neighboring towns Križovany nad Dudváhom and Opoj part of the community Dudváh.
