The Zuiderduintjes (Dutch for " South Dunes " ) are a small barrier island in the Dutch Wadden Sea between Rottumeroog and the mainland. The dunes are now removed about one kilometer from Rottumeroog. Previously Rottumeroog enough yet so far south. It is found only little vegetation on the island, which is mainly inhabited by seals and birds. 1997 even a group was sighted by nesting cormorants.

As Rottumeroog are the Zuiderduintjes part of the nature reserve and therefore should not be entered. The island is part of the Dutch province of Groningen, for the administration of the " State Forestry " responsible, a national conservation organization.
