1-800 Vindication is the fifth studio album by Danish death metal band Illdisposed. It was published on 4 October 2004 via Roadrunner Records.

Formation

In 2003, Illdisposed separated from their previous record label Diehard Music, while the band worked with a promo CD with six songs. Overall, the band worked over a period of two years on new material. During this time gates Morgensen and Rolf Rognvard -Hansen left the band.

The recordings took place in the Zigzound Studios in May 2004. The drums were recorded in the Combi Sound Studio in Viby. Produced 1-800 Vindication of " Ziggy ". The mix and the mastering done by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio in Aarhus. As a guest musician The K9 Agency and Jonas Friis occurred, the synthesizer contributed. For the songs "Dark " and " Still Sane " Music videos were filmed. It was the first music videos of the band's history. The artwork was designed by Lasse Hoile.

In June 2006, the band signed a worldwide deal with EMI. In Europe the album was released by Roadrunner Records.

Background

The album title is loud vocalist Bo Summer to be understood as resurrection. The superior telephone area code 1-800 constitutes a joke in terms of American Telephone hotlines

In " Now We're History" processed vocalist Bo Summer the relationship dramas that he has experienced in his life. The band used for the song " Jeff" a sample from the movie Wayne's World 2 In the sequence used explains the father of the main character Wayne Campbell in Chinese, that this really should be called Jeff. The name has no special meaning.

Reception

The album received by the press mostly good reviews. According to Wolf -Rüdiger Mühlmann from Rock Hard possess Illdisposed " the rare ability to write equally heavy and brutal as well as catchy and accurate Songs" and described the album as a " gem ". Sears gave the album nine out of ten possible points. Reviewer " Gourmet" bloodchamber.de by the online magazine described 1-800 Vindication as " completely awesome death metal album, thanks much melody and a hammer sound is likely to reach a wide audience ." Due to the short season he forgave 8.5 out of ten.

In the book, Best of Rock & Metal of the German Rock Hard magazine, in which the strongest in the opinion of Rock-Hard - editors 500 metal and hard rock albums of all time lists, ranked 1-800 Vindication Place 490 1 - 800 Vindication reached number 85 on the Danish album charts.

The song " Dark" was used for the soundtrack of the horror film Saw.

Republication

On 28 August 2009 Massacre Records released the albums 1-800 Vindication and Burn Me Wicked new. As a bonus, the re-release of 1-800 Vindication contained the songs "Near the Gates" and "I 'm lost in Berlin."
