1991–92 Cupa României

The Cupa României in the 1991/92 season was the 54th tournament for the Romanian football cup. The winner was the 18th time Steaua Bucharest, located in the finals was able to prevail on 24 June 1992 against FC Politehnica Timişoara. As a result, Steaua qualified for the European Cup winners. Universitatea Craiova defending champion was eliminated in the semifinals against the new title holder. For the first time the final was decided on penalties.

Mode

The clubs Divizia A rose only one in the round of 32 teams. In the second round all games took place on neutral ground.
