2011 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships

The Canoe Slalom World Cup 2011 was held from 7 to 11 September 2011 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Is being organized by the International Canoe Federation World Championships (ICF). Bratislava 's first time hosting a Canoe Slalom World Championships. The competitions will be held in the canoe park " Areál Divoká Voda Bratislava Čunovo ". It has a length of 340 m and a height difference of 6.6 m.

A total of ten competitions were held, with the men each a single and a team decision in one's kayak K-1, A - Canadian C-1 and twos Canadian C-2 and in women an individual and team decision-making in one kayak K -1 and the one-man canoe C-1. The team competition in the C-1 of the women was the first time an official competition of a World Cup. There were problems initially with the weather conditions. Due to strong winds the first two days of competition had to be canceled, but the program could eventually be carried out on the last three days of competition.

The World Cup was the main qualifier for the canoe slalom competitions of the Olympic Summer Games in 2012. The majority of all quota places awarded here.
