2011 National League Division Series
Milwaukee Brewers winning the NLDS 2
The National League Division Series 2011 ( NLDS ) is between 1 and 7 October 2011 and is part of the MLB Postseason 2011 season. It is used to determine which two competing teams in the National League Championship Series in 2011 against each other. At the two best-of -five series took as in previous years, the winners of the three divisions of the National League as well as a wild card team in part:
- Philadelphia Phillies (winner of the Eastern Division, 102-60 ) against St. Louis Cardinals ( as a wild card team, 90-72 ).
- Milwaukee Brewers (winner of the Central Division, 96-66 ) against the Arizona Diamondbacks (winner of the Western Division, 94-68 );
Both meetings will be held for the first time in the postseason.

The game started fantastically for the Cardinals after Lance Berkman scored a three-run home run. Afterwards, however, the minutes for the hosts came from Phildalephia. Shane Victorinos RBI in the fourth inning and Ryan Howard and Raul Ibañezs home runs in the sixth inning turned the game for the Phillies. The Homerun of Ibañez was also the last game action for Kyle Lohse, who immediately left the game. In the next two innings, the Phillies scored another 5 runs, 2 RBIs could not be made up of the Adron Chambers' RBI and Skip Schu Makers in the ninth inning.

In Game 1 started for the Diamondbacks, the 21 - time winner Ian Kennedy against Yovani Gallardo of the Brewers. Milwaukee their chances better used after Ryan Braun (3 hits) and Prince Fielder ( two-run homer ) have made four runs. Gallardo was used for eight innings, then John Axford has successfully completed the game.
