2011 Women's World Open Squash Championship
The 27 Squash World Cup of Women was held from 1 to 6 November 2011 in Rotterdam, Netherlands instead. The world championship was the most lucrative tournament of the season, the ESC World Tour. In parallel, the Men's World Championship took place.
Defending champion Nicol David was, who won the title again this year. They were during the whole tournament from a single sentence. After victories over Delia Arnold ( 11:3, 11:6, 11:5 ), Nour El Sherbini ( 11:7, 11:6, 11:7 ) and Kasey Brown ( 11:7, 12:10, 11:4 ) she met in the semifinals on Natalie Grinham of the Netherlands. Also this game it gained with 11:9, 11:4 and 11:6, which they reached the final. There Nicol David met on the set at position two Englishwoman Jenny Duncalf. Duncalf had initially against Line Hansen ( 11:9, 12:10, 11:7 ) and Joelle King ( 11:9, 7:11, 11:1, 11:3 ) enforced before the quarter-finals at their position five appointed country wife Laura Massaro with 11:9, 11:7 and 11:7 defeated. In the semifinals they defeated the Mexican Samantha Teran equally clear 11:9, 11:4 and 11:7. The final Nicol David finally decided very clearly for itself. So Duncalf stayed with the 3-0 victory of David over the course of the game a chance, as they dominated the game with 11:2, 11:5 and 11:0. With this success, Nicol David built their record of six world titles and thus became sole record holder. Sarah Fitz- Gerald had a total of five times won the world title in her career. The at the time of the Second World Ranking, Jenny Duncalf, stood for the first time in a World Cup final.
From Germany, Austria and Switzerland was a participant at the start of each. Sina Wall from Germany and Birgit Coufal from Austria excreted respectively in the second round of qualifying. The Swiss Gaby Huber failed to qualify for the main round. In the first round she was disqualified against Joelle King in three sets.
The field consisted of 32 players, nine of them starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard Orla Noom was given a starting place in the main draw.

Players who entered from qualifying into the main draw, the qualifying points were given in addition to those for the respective round is reached. Otherwise, the amounts are not cumulative. The total prize money amounted to 143,000 U.S. dollars.
