30th Bavarian Reserve Division (German Empire)

The 30th Reserve Division was formed as a major unit of the Prussian army at the beginning of the First World War. As of the end of December 1916, the Division consisted exclusively of country team result parts of the Kingdom of Bavaria and was from that time, a major unit of the Bavarian army.

Structure

The association was originally established in August 1914 as the main reserve of the fortress Strasbourg. Later it came under the Corps Eberhardt / XV. Reserve Corps. Since the Division consisted almost exclusively of Bavarian associations, it was renamed on December 26, 1916 in 30th Bavarian Reserve Division and the newly formed XV. Bavarian Reserve Corps assumed. The Association was set up in the Vosges and Alsace- Lorraine.
