The Autoroute 6, 6 A short, is the main road link between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Belgian province of Luxembourg, with its capital Arlon ( Arlon dt ). Is modeled on this course, the A6 and the " Areler Autobunn ", so named Areler highway.
Your entire course it is also known as E 25 - also known as Route du Soleil - signposted.
The construction of the A6 began in the 1970s; the first sections were taken into operation in 1978, it was finally completed in 1982.
First, the A 6 passes up to the local roads to the southwest of the Grand Duchy to make then a southern semicircle around the capital of Luxembourg.
The A6 ends on Gaspericher Cross ( Croix de Gasperich ) where they have the A3 in the direction of France ( Thionville ) crosses and seamless ongoing in the eastern direction A1 passes. The southern half ring, which is formed from the A 6 and A 1 is also referred to as Contournement Boulevard and can be found in older road maps as B1.
Together with the A 3 A 6 is the main transit route through the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg coming from Belgium / Netherlands in the direction France / Mediterranean coast.
Because of its importance as a transit route and commuter axis is chronically overloaded to almost all times of the day.
