Aaron Schneider

Aaron E. Schneider ( born July 26, 1965 in Springfield, Illinois) is an American cinematographer and film director. He won an Oscar in 2004 for his short film Two Soldiers.

Life

Schneider was born in Springfield and raised in Peoria. He studied at Iowa State University and received a 1989 graduate of the University of Southern California.

He worked as cinematographer for numerous television films and TV series, including the pilot episodes of The Agency - In the crosshairs of the CIA and Supernatural. For his work on the crime series Murder One, he was nominated in 1996 for an Emmy Award. Later, the work followed as a cameraman for several movies, including 1997 Titanic by James Cameron, in which he participated as a Second Unit Director of Photography. Since 1999 he is member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

In 2000, Schneider took over for a series of youth SeriesPopular the first time even the director. Then the based on a short story by William Faulkner short film Two Soldiers, in which Schneider was also director was taken in 2003. He joined the same time as a producer, writer and editor in appearance. In 2004 he was awarded with producer Andrew J. Sacks for his work with an Oscar in the category Best Short Film.

His first feature film at the end of the road - a true tall tale starring Robert Duvall, Bill Murray and Sissy Spacek in the lead roles was shown at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival for the first time and came in summer 2010 release.
