Geography

Abuko lies on the southern bank of the Gambia River in the Kombo-St. Mary Area, making it one of the administrative unit Greater Banjul Area. The place is named after the the nearby national parks Abuko Nature Reserve.

The distribution in detail: 24.6% Mandinka, Fula 9.8%, 4.5% Wolof, Jola 46.7 %, 1.1% Serahule, 2% Serer, Aku 1.4%, 4.9% Manjago, 0.8% of Bambara and 4.3% other ethnicities.
