Khan began his motorsport career in 2001 in the British Formula Ford, where he immediately became vice-champion. The following year he went to a race in the Spanish Formula 3 at the start. In winter 2002/2003 the young racers participated in the British Formula 3 Championship winter part. 2003 Khan went well in some races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, as well as two races in the German Formula 3 at the start. The following season, Khan was half a season in the B class of the British Formula 3 Championship, active and finished sixth in the overall standings. In 2005 he took part in several races of the German Formula 3 and the B-Class to the British Formula 3 Championship. In the next A1GP season 2005/2006 Khan started for the Pakistani team. After a pause, the racers went into the 2007/2008 A1GP season for Pakistan at the start. In addition to two races for Arden International was active in the GP2 Asia Series.
