Adolf I, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe
Adolf Georg ( born August 1, 1817 in Bückeburg † May 8, 1893 ibid ) was from 1860 to 1893, Prince of Schaumburg -Lippe and head of the House of Schaumburg -Lippe.
Life
He was the son of Prince Georg Wilhelm of Schaumburg -Lippe and Ida Karoline Luise of Waldeck -Pyrmont.
In 1844 he married in Arolsen (district Waldeck ) his cousin ( first degree) Princess Hermine of Waldeck -Pyrmont ( 1827-1910 ), daughter of Prince Georg Heinrich of Waldeck -Pyrmont and Emma of Anhalt- Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym. The marriage produced eight children were born:
- Hermione (1845-1930) ∞ Maximilian, Duke of Württemberg
- Stephan Albrecht Georg (1846-1911) ∞ 1882 Princess Anna Maria of Saxe- Altenburg
- Peter Hermann (1848-1918), unmarried.

- Ida Mathilde (1852-1891) ∞ Prince Heinrich XXII. Reuss to Greiz
- Otto Heinrich (1854-1935) ∞ Anna Luise von Köppen

Prince Adolf I Georg participated in the imperial proclamation in Versailles in part on 18th January 1871.
