George II, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont

Georg Heinrich II ( born September 20, 1789 in Weil am Rhein, † May 15 1845 in Arolsen ) was from 1813 to 1845, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont.

On January 28, 1814 Prince Georg Heinrich adopted a constitution, the organization edict Waldeck- Pyrmont. In this imposed, that is, without the participation of the Estates or the people into being -down constitution, Prince George took the constitutional unification of the Principality of Waldeck and ( since 1807 as a principality designated ) county Pyrmont.

This scheme called under the Waldeck stands forth a storm of protest. The President of the estates was Carl Friedrich von Dalwigk spokesman of the opposition, which ultimately prevailed, that Prince Georg of 3 July 1814, the new constitutional separation of Waldeck and Pyrmont was forced to testify in the Convention.

Georg Heinrich was the son and successor of George, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, Prince of. Georg Heinrich was married to Princess Emma of Anhalt- Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym ( 1802-1858 ). Their children were:
