AFC Tubize
Association Football Clubs Tubize is a Belgian football club from Tubize.
History
On December 28, 1925, the Cercle Sportif Tubizien was founded. In February of the following year, the club joined the Belgian federation. On 2 February 1953, the local rivals Club Sportif Esperance Tubize was founded and became a member of the Association in June. When the two teams merged on 1 July 1967 Tubize Football Club, the newly established Club was continued under the entry of the CS Esperance.
In 1976, a new local rivals, the Americans Reunis Tubize. This merged the FC Tubize on 1 July 1990 for the AFC Tubize, who took fourth in the Belgian league. The club will continue at the Association under the entry of FC Tubize.
After the club was in 1995 failed in the rise of games, In 1996, the rise in the third league. There, the team missed three points behind Zultse VV relegation. In 1998, the club was runner-up and qualified for the promotion games. However, AFC lost in the second round against Royal Sprimont CS with 1:2 and missed the direct resurgence. 1999 reiterated the club the vice-championship. In the last round of games rise was indeed lost 0-2 against RC Tournai, however, due to withdrawal of the second division KFC Herentals from the game, there was a playoff with SK Maldegem who had lost the other game of the last round. On 28 May 1999, these were defeated 3-2 after extra time and thus sealed their return to the third division.
AFC Tubize managed sixth place in 2000, a year later, in eighth place. While the team advanced all the way to the second round of the Belgian Cup, where they at RAA La Louviere failed, she took the end of the season in fourth place in the standings. However, she was denied a license for the second division in advance, so that the qualification was denied to the rise of games.
2003 AFC Tubize by five points over second-placed Oud-Heverlee Leuven Master of the third division and thus promotion to the second division. With six wins from six games, the team sat confidently through against FC Antwerp, KVSK United Overpelt - Lommel and Oud -Heverlee Leuven and played in the 2008/ 09 season so far his only year in the First Division, of which one as Seventeenth again descent.
