Against All Odds (Original Title: Against All Odds ). . Action

The aging football player Terry Brogan has money worries. Jake Wise instructed him to bring back his girlfriend Jessie Wyler from Mexico. She is the daughter of a real estate entrepreneur, where the football team is one in which Brogan plays. Before the run, she has stolen Jake money. Brogan finds Jessie and falls for her. First Jessie reciprocates his feelings. But then she disappears, goes back to Los Angeles and Jake Wise, to give notice without Terry. Terry wants to know what Jessie has driven back to Jake and why they want to stay with a man who beats yet. He also wants to find out what is going on with the local politicians, lawyers and environmentalists to be fighting over a piece of land.

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times that the most interesting film strip relationship for a long time show. He was not a remake of the movie from 1947, the two films have only the " cynical triangular relationship " mean. The plot was " probably too big ". The film contains " subdued " criticism of the professional sport and environmental sins.

Awards

Phil Collins was nominated in 1985 for the song Against All Odds ( Take a Look at Me Now) for an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award. The soundtrack to the Peter Gabriel about the song Walk Through the Fire contributed, in 1985, nominated for a Grammy Award.
