Agnes Ayres
Agnes Ayres Agnes actually Hinkle, ( born April 4, 1898 in Carbondale, Illinois, USA, † December 25, 1940 in Los Angeles, USA) was a popular American actress of the silent era.
Life
Agnes Ayres made her film debut in 1914/1915 at the Essenay Studios in Chicago. In 1919 she was engaged by William Fox of Fox Studios and received in 1920 a contract with Paramount Pictures. She received in 1921 in The Sheik on the side of Rudolph Valentino your biggest role. It was then that role into a star overnight and went on to star in some big productions in Hollywood. In 1929, she lost her fortune after the crash, while they could not accommodate more foot in the sound film as an actress. She retired from the film business, and died 1940.
