Alabama State Route 36

The Alabama State Route 36 (abbreviated AL 36) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Alabama, which runs in an east - west direction.

The State Route begins at the Alabama State Route 33 in Wren and ends after 58 kilometers east of Lacey 's Spring on U.S. Highway 231

History

The Alabama State Route 36 was originally opened in 1940, between Courtland and Double Springs. After 17 years the track but was assigned to State Route 33 and in the same year, the portion between Wren and Lacey 's Spring was designated by the numeral 36. This assignment is still being sought.
