Alabama State Route 67

The Alabama State Route 67 (abbreviated AL 67 ) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Alabama, which runs in a north -south direction.

The State Route begins on U.S. Highway 231 south of Summit and ends after 63 kilometers near Decatur on U.S. Highway 72 Alternate and 20th at the Alabama State Route

Course

From the turnoff on U.S. 231, the road runs in a north westerly direction and arrives in Joppa to the Alabama State Route 69 and in stringers on the Alabama State Route 36 west of Priceville it crosses Interstate 65 and crosses after the Flint Creek. After the junction with U.S. Highway 31 south of Decatur State Route forms to its end in the west of the city a bypass ring. First, however, branches nor the Alabama State Route 24.

History

The Alabama State Route 67 was opened in 1940 as a road between Decatur and Baileyton. The highway was extended in 1953 to a section of Baileyton to U.S. Highway 231.
