Alain Claude Sulzer

Alain Claude Sulzer ( born February 17, 1953 in Basel ) is a Swiss writer and translator.

Life

Sulzer trained as a librarian and later worked as a journalist. Since the eighties he published his own literary texts, mostly prose. He has also translated from the French a few plants. In 1990 he took part in Klagenfurt at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition; 2008 to 2011 he was a member of the local jury. With his novel From the joints he came in 2012 on the shortlist for the Swiss Book Prize. Sulzer now lives in Basel, in the Alsatian Vieux- Ferrette and in Berlin.
