Albert Daeger

Albert Thomas Daeger OFM ( born March 5, 1872 in Saint Ann, Indiana, USA, † December 2, 1932 in Santa Fe, New Mexico) was Archbishop of Santa Fe.

Life

Albert Thomas Daeger joined the Congregation of the Franciscan and received on 25 July 1896, the sacrament of Holy Orders. Daeger had a doctorate in Catholic theology.

On March 10, 1919, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Archbishop of Santa Fe. The Archbishop Emeritus of Santa Fe, John Baptist Pitaval, donated to him on 7 May of that same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Denver, John Henry Tihen, and the Bishop of El Paso, Anthony Joseph Schuler SJ.

Albert Thomas Daeger was buried in the Saint Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe.
