History

Was first mentioned Albertshofen 1317 by a gift of Gottfried von Hohenlohe fief to Otto Fuchs and his brother Konrad.

The place was formerly in two parts. The smaller sub- village belonged to the Kitzinger hospital. Owner of the larger upper village were the respective owners of the chateau of Mainsondheim, to 1592, the Lords of Crailsheim, to 1727, the Fuchs family of Dornheim and since 1727 the barons of Mauchenheim called Bechtolsheim.

The office of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg / Hospital Kitzingen was 1803 ( Reichsdeputationshauptschluss ) in Bavaria and had to be left in the 1805 Peace of Pressburg Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg. The local possessions of the Barons von Bechtolsheim were mediatized in 1806.
