Albin de la Simone

Albin de la Simone ( born December 14, 1970 in Amiens, Picardie ) is a French singer.

Life

After studying sculpture at the Institute Saint Luc de Tournai, he began a career as a pianist, especially for jazz. He was influenced by his father, a clarinetist, who specializes in New Orleans jazz. Moreover, he himself had been formerly CIM students, a school for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where he played in the orchestra and arrangements learned. His very own style manifested itself, for example by an instrument which he called " Helmut". He worked as a pianist as well as an arranger with numerous artists, for example, with Mathieu Boogaerts, Arthur H, Raphael, Jean -Louis Aubert, Salif Keïta, Alain Souchon, Alain Chamfort, Vanessa Paradis and Iggy Pop.

In 2000 he started to write his own songs. In 2003 he gave his first concerts in which he also sang, in Japan, in the opening act at a Tournée by Mathieu Boogaerts. In September, his first album released on the Virgin label. He sang a duet with Feist and each with Alain Souchon. In 2005 he came to of-M in the opening act and played concerts with Pascal Colomb. His second album Je Vais Changer appeared in May. In the years 2007-2008 he accompanied Keren Ann on a small tour Vanessa Paradis. His third album bungalow! was released by the label Cinq7/Wagram. He began a Tournée accompanied by a band.
