Aleksandr Osipov

Alexander Sergeyevich Osipov (Russian Александр Сергеевич Осипов; born March 24, 1989 in Nizhny Tagil, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is since May 2013 in Ak Bars Kazan in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Alexander Osipov began his career as a hockey player with several amateur teams in Tyumen, before he was active for the first team of Gasowik Tyumen in the subprime Wysschaja League from 2007 to 2009. Then the defender received a contract with Amur Khabarovsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. In its inaugural season in the KHL the right shooter in 17 games scored in the 2009/10 season ever a goal and an assist. In addition, he received ten penalty minutes.

In January 2013, Osipov joined in a swap first to Atlant Mytischtschi, before a few weeks later - after Atlant no chance of reaching the play-offs had more - to the SKA St. Petersburg have been made. For the SKA, he completed in sequence three main rounds and ten play-off games. After the season he was engaged by Ak Bars Kazan.
