Alénya

Alénya (Catalan Alenyà ) is a commune with 3208 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Pyrénées- Orientales of the Languedoc -Roussillon region. The village belongs to the district of the canton of Perpignan and La Côte Radiant City.

Alénya is 3.5 km from Etang Canet -Saint -Nazaire, 4 km from the Mediterranean Sea, 7 km from Canet- Plage, 4 km from St-Cyprien -Plage, 10 km from Perpignan and 25 km from the Spanish border. The sacred mountain of the Catalans, the Pic du Canigou, is about 40 km away.
