Alexander Urbom

Alexander Urbom ( born December 20, 1990 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since January 2014 with the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Alexander Urbom began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Djurgårdens IF, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien during the 2008/ 09 season. In his rookie year he was defending no points in 28 games and won two penalty minutes. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the third round than a total of 73 players from the New Jersey Devils. First, however, he spent one season with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League before he first time in the National Hockey League for the New Jersey Devils was in the 2010/11 season on the ice. In parallel, he has been playing for the 2010/11 season for their new AHL farm team, the Albany Devils.

At the beginning of the 2013/14 season Urbom of New Jersey was placed on the waiver. In October 2013 he undertook then the Washington Capitals. In January 2014, he returned on the waiver to the Devils.
