Alexandra Maria Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born Alexandra Maria Riley, born November 12, 1978 in Bucharest as Alexandra Maria Platareanu ) is a German - Romanian actress.
Life
The father, the actor Valentin Platareanu, was deputy director of the National Theatre in Bucharest, the mother is a linguist. Her family fled in 1983 with a day visa before the Ceauşescu regime. They originally wanted to Canada, but then remained hanging in Germany. Lara grew up first in Freiburg im Breisgau on, but her family moved soon after Berlin. Her father was able to gain a foothold quickly in Germany. He worked as a drama teacher and founded the nationally recognized drama school Charlottenburg. Alexandra was always a member of the school theater. After graduating from high school at the French Gymnasium in Berlin between 1997 and 2000 she took classes at the drama school of her father.
Even as a 11- year-old she was in the TV movie With Love, Rita her debut in front of the camera. At 16 she still played the title role as a student in the ZDF series eve man, Pia! .
