Alexis Kyritsis

Alexandros Kiritsis (Greek Αλέξανδρος Κυρίτσης, born May 18, 1982 in Greece) is a Greek professional basketball player who plays at a height of 1.98 m on the position of shooting guard.

Career

Alexandros Kiritsis began his professional career in 2000 at the Greek club Papagou in Athens. In 2003 he moved to the traditional club Aris Thessaloniki, which was under contract for two years and in 2004 won the first title of his career with the Greek club trophy. In the following years, Kiritsis changed hands several times the club. Among his most important stations 2005-2011 PAOK Thessaloniki and AEK Athens. In summer 2011, Kiritsis joined the reigning ULEB Euro League winners Panathinaikos Athens.

National

Between 2006 and 2009, was a member of the Greek national Kiritsis. He graduated in this period 9 matches, scoring 82 points ( 9.11 on average). 2009 won Kiritsis at the Mediterranean Games Pescara 2009 Italian silver medal.

Trivia

Alexandros father Michalis Kiritsis was to win both as a player (1971-1972) and as a coach (1983-1986, 1988-1989) at Panathinaikos Athens and was active in both cases title.
