Ali Riley ( 2010)

Alexandra Lowe Riley ( born October 30, 1987 in Los Angeles, California) is a New Zealand soccer player. She has been awarded several times by NZF and OFC as a football player of the year.

Career

Clubs

Riley began her career in 2009 in the W -League Pali Blues - participants before they joined the WPS FC Gold Pride franchise for the 2010 season. With the FC was at the end of the season WPS champions, personally awarded the Rookie of the Year and joined in the sequel to the league rivals Western New York Flash, with whom she once again was able to win the championship in the 2011 season. After the dissolution of WPS before the 2012 season, Riley joined the Swedish first division side LDB FC Malmö, with whom she could win the Swedish championship in 2013.

National

Riley played for the U -20 team in their country and participated with this, among others, at the U -20 World Cup in 2006. Her debut for the senior national team of New Zealand she gave on February 4, 2007 with a game against Mexico. She was part of the selection of their country at the World Championships in 2007 and 2011, and at the Summer Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012.
